Pelvic

Pelvic floor dysfunction is a common condition that could present itself with difficulty controlling your bowel or bladder, pain or pressure in lower abdomen, or even constipation.

Normally, you are able to go to the bathroom without difficulty because your muscles are coordinating and working as they should. But if you have pelvic floor dysfunction, your body

could keep tightening these muscles instead of relaxing them like it should.

Pelvic floor dysfunction is an often misdiagnosed and underserved condition. In fact, it is estimated 1 in 5 people will suffer from a pelvic floor disorder in their lifetime, yet many have never heard of it.

Pelvic floor physical therapy treats pain, weakness, and dysfunction in the pelvic floor muscles.
