Aquatic Therapy
Aquatic physical therapy is a specialized form of rehab performed in a warm-water environment to reduce stress on joints and support controlled movement. The buoyancy, resistance, and warmth of the water work together to decrease pain, improve mobility, and build strength in a low-impact setting. Common conditions treated include arthritis, chronic pain, post-surgical recovery, balance deficits, and lower-extremity injuries. Aquatic therapy can be used on its own or integrated into a broader plan of care with one of our physical therapists. Aquatic Therapy is performed at the Jackson County Recreation Center in Cullowhee.
