Josh Jones, PT, DPT,
After earning a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Western Carolina University, Dr. Jones practiced as a clinician in multiple settings including inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and outpatient prior to completing a Residency in Orthopaedics. Through Residency he mentored under Francois Prinzinski with an emphasis on Pain Science and was able to achieve board certification becoming an Orthopaedic Specialist. Following Residency he went on to complete a Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy and holds a Diploma in Osteopractic which enabled him to become certified in dry needling, as well as extremity and spinal manipulation.
Dr. Jones is an Assistant Professor at Western Carolina University and enjoys helping to supervise the University’s pro bono physical therapy clinic (MAPHealth) on Wednesday nights as well as help teach musculoskeletal, examination, and pain science aspects of the curriculum.
Dr. Jones resides in Dillsboro, NC with his family but grew up in Sylva and participated in both basketball and football at Smoky Mountain High School. Outside of work, he enjoys rugby, crossfit, pretty much anything outdoors, and can usually be found either rafting or paddleboarding one of the many waterways WNC calls home.
